LEVEL DESCRIPTIONS

Beginner: We expect that you have some basic knowledge of sewing. Working knowledge of how to use a sewing machine is required; you should know how to wind a bobbin, sew a straight seam and thread a machine. If you have never sewn before, or haven’t sewn for many years, we request that you take the Learn to Sew class before signing up for other classes here at nido.

Advanced Beginner: Students should have basic sewing skills already mastered. You should be able to sew basic stitches and seams at a steady pace and be ready to tackle using these stitches in slightly more complex projects or projects that require multiple seams or use of notions to finish.

Intermediate: These classes are intended for people who are already able to independently tackle basic sewing projects. The focus of these classes are to help you take the basic skills you already have and expand them through learning new and more sophisticated. If you are unsure which class is right for you, tell us a bit about your sewing experience. We are happy to help you find the perfect class for using the skills you have while learning a few new tricks.
